1967 Ford Mustang Fastback - BIG BLOCK. NO RESERVE Auction
This is a local car out of Southhaven, MS from the home of a collector that died in the mid 90's. The motor was built & modified by Richard Gray w/ Hy Performance Engines - a well respected Mid South dirt track / high performance engine builder. This FE 390 features a mild cam, Edelbrock intake & carburetor. I would consider the build to be slightly over stock. Car sounds amazing with hidden dual exhaust. Nice rumble.
The automatic C6 transmission was rebuilt by Buddy Ferrell with Ferrell Transmissions - also a well respected Mid South racing legend. The transmission does have a shift kit installed. Stock converter.
Ford 9" rear end posi traction was set up by Dwayne Watkins - Mid South Pro Mod Racer.
Car was sandblasted to bare metal and restored. I would say the paint is close to 16 years old. The car is rarely driven and stored inside a climate controlled garage. That's why it looks so good. This is considered a resto mod car. Shelby style side scoops have been built into the sides for a seamless look. Shelby style hood & rear deck lid.
Car has been lowered just slightly by Custom Springs for a great stance.
Coy's Custom Wheels with Hankook tires. Venture V4es Front: 225/45 ZR17 Rear: 245/45 ZR17
FORD NOS tail lights.
Power steering & power disc brakes up front. Drums in the rear.
Lots & lots of new parts. No expense spared.
Pioneer radio with CD & Pioneer speakers.
We have no way of determining if mileage is correct on odometer, all we can report is what is there. It reads 67,776 miles. VIN is correctly stamped on drivers inner engine bay fender. Matching VIN plate is in title envelope. We decided not to reattach to door pillar.
This car is for sale locally & I reserve the right to end the auction early. This is an "AS IS" sale, there are no expressed or implied warranties with the car.
Great car that has been in the family since 1998. We have been careful to not over build this classic. We wanted a $140,000 looking car but for $40,000.
I welcome full inspection of car during biding or you may arrange to have car inspected by mechanic.
